There's much to see here at BOSS multisport. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about us. We hope you enjoy our site and take a moment to drop us a line. We welcome new members of all levels and abilities.
Bec knows the ups and downs of balancing training with work commitments. Dreaming of doing just that little bit better at the finish line as an age group triathlete. Well, Bec has been there and done that! Bec has a huge knowledge base in regards to injury prevention, running, swimming biomechanics and athlete psychology. She began her coaching career as a Learn to Swim teacher in 2003, from there she got the bug and sort qualifications in swimming and running coaching before finishing her podiatry degree. Once working full time this wasn't enough, so she did her foundation coaching, development coaching and finally her performance coaching accreditation. Bec is well established within the QLD triathlon community as she regularly volunteers as a technical official at many events and mentors new coaches coming through the ranks.
Bec started BOSS multisport as she wanted to see more growth of the sport in the local area. She believed there was more behind the training than just the session. Bec has a very holistic approach to her coaching style and works with each athlete individually. Although she coaches athletes of all ages and abilities her passion lies with juniors and the age groupers - this is where triathlon can be a sport to love and a sport for life. LadyBOSS is a rapidly growing aspect of BOSS multisport which cultivates female athletes training together with various female mentors and coaches.
Bec is an active mentor within the Triathlon Australia coaching pathway and enjoys giving back to the sport and future of triathlon coaches in Australia. When not competing, supporting or coaching, Bec is facilitating Foundation and Development courses offering generously to mentor other club coaches.
Bec has been competing in triathlons herself since 2001. This has taken her to many levels of competition including 5 x Australian Age Group Representative and 2017 3rd Place World Age Champion in the Long Course Championships. Bec lives and breathes triathlons and hopes to still be racing in her 80's.
Bec has a son with her husband and co-coach Danny. However, you will mostly see these two on the sidelines supporting the squad and Bec when she races.
The name BOSS multisport came around as she wanted it to be a cool squad for people to train together. BOSS stands for Built on Self Success as you just need to believe in yourself to get to your next destination, if it doesn't challenge you it will never change you.
